Neftaly Empowers 12,489 Youth with Technical Skills
In partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund and Comic Relief – 10 May 2015
On 10 May 2015, Neftaly proudly delivered a large-scale technical skills training programme, reaching 12,489 young people across South Africa. This milestone initiative was made possible through a powerful partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) and Comic Relief, both renowned for their commitment to empowering youth and building sustainable futures.
The programme focused on equipping young people with practical, market-relevant technical skills that open pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and community development. Through innovative training methods and a strong support system, Neftaly helped young participants to:
- Gain hands-on technical expertise in key trades and industries
- Build confidence in their abilities to pursue work opportunities
- Develop entrepreneurial mindsets to create their own livelihoods
- Strengthen life skills for personal growth and resilience
This collaboration between Neftaly, NMCF, and Comic Relief underscores a shared vision: to transform the lives of young people by providing them with the tools and opportunities to thrive.
By investing in youth empowerment, this initiative not only addressed immediate skills gaps but also contributed to long-term social and economic development.
“Every young person trained is a step towards a brighter, more self-reliant future for South Africa.”
