Partnership: Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) & Comic Relief
On 8 January 2016, Neftaly successfully delivered a large-scale Youth Empowerment and Development Programme, reaching 28,744 young people across South Africa in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) and Comic Relief.
Objectives
- Equip young people with critical life skills to support personal growth and resilience.
- Provide access to educational resources, training, and opportunities for socio-economic empowerment.
- Create platforms for dialogue around youth leadership, participation, and positive social change.
- Strengthen the capacity of youth to make informed decisions, reduce vulnerabilities, and build sustainable futures.
Approach
- Workshops & Training Sessions: Delivered interactive workshops on leadership, entrepreneurship, and life skills.
- Community Engagement: Partnered with schools, community-based organisations, and local leaders to extend the programme’s reach.
- Support Networks: Linked participants to ongoing mentorship, resources, and referral pathways for education and employment opportunities.
- Collaboration: Leveraged the strong legacy and credibility of NMCF and Comic Relief to ensure sustainability and impact.
