Neftaly Technical Skills Training: Empowering 12,489 Youth
On 28 March 2015, Neftaly successfully delivered a comprehensive Technical Skills Training to 12,489 young people, in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) and Comic Relief. This initiative was part of a broader effort to equip youth with practical skills, enhance employability, and foster entrepreneurship across communities.
The training covered a wide range of technical competencies, including:
- ICT Skills – basic and advanced computer literacy to ensure digital readiness.
- Vocational Skills – hands-on training in areas such as carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and hospitality.
- Entrepreneurial Skills – guidance on business planning, financial literacy, and market awareness to enable self-employment opportunities.
- Soft Skills – communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, essential for workplace success.
This collaborative effort aimed to address youth unemployment and create sustainable pathways for personal and professional growth. By providing these skills, Neftaly, NMCF, and Comic Relief collectively empowered thousands of young people to realize their potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
The success of this initiative reflects the power of partnerships in transforming lives, fostering resilience, and building a skilled, confident, and ambitious youth workforce.
