Project Implementation by Neftaly in Partnership with CATHSETA
On 1 June 2016, Neftaly successfully launched a targeted Project Implementation initiative aimed at empowering 3010 youth across South Africa. This project was carried out in strategic partnership with the Culture, Arts, Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSETA), reinforcing the commitment to skills development and youth employment in the creative and hospitality sectors.
The initiative focused on providing young people with practical skills, mentorship, and industry insights, equipping them to participate effectively in South Africa’s dynamic culture, arts, tourism, and hospitality sectors. The program included:
- Workshops and training sessions designed to enhance both technical and soft skills relevant to the sector.
- Mentorship programs, connecting youth with experienced professionals to guide their career development.
- Career exposure opportunities, enabling participants to understand the operational and managerial aspects of the industries.
- Certification aligned with CATHSETA standards, ensuring participants received recognized qualifications to boost employability.
This project represents a significant milestone in youth development, reflecting a collaborative effort to bridge the skills gap in high-demand industries. By reaching over three thousand young individuals, Neftaly and CATHSETA have contributed to building a skilled, motivated, and future-ready workforce capable of driving growth in South Africa’s culture, arts, travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
Through this partnership, the program not only empowered youth with knowledge and skills but also fostered confidence, creativity, and industry readiness, aligning with the broader national agenda of sustainable employment and socio-economic development.
