On 27 January 2016, Neftaly successfully carried out one of its largest youth development initiatives, enrolling 80,512 young beneficiaries into its programs. This milestone was achieved through a strong partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) and Comic Relief, both committed to empowering and uplifting young people across South Africa.
The intake provided a gateway for thousands of youth to access:
- Educational support – ensuring improved learning opportunities and access to resources.
- Skills development – equipping young people with vocational and life skills for sustainable futures.
- Health and well-being initiatives – promoting holistic development and positive lifestyle choices.
- Community empowerment – fostering leadership, resilience, and active participation among the youth.
This collaboration marked a transformative step in youth empowerment, ensuring that vulnerable and disadvantaged children had the opportunity to thrive, learn, and contribute positively to their communities.
Through this historic intake, Neftaly reaffirmed its commitment to building a generation of capable, inspired, and responsible young leaders in line with the vision of Nelson Mandela and the shared values of Comic Relief.
