For what purpose do you request a grant?

We request this grant to enhance vocational training for vulnerable youth (ages 14–28) in Uganda. The funding will be used to improve training quality through updated tools, equipment, and teaching materials, increase accessibility by reducing barriers for disadvantaged participants, and strengthen employment outcomes via internships and mentorship programs. This project will equip young people with practical skills, promote self-reliance, and create pathways into meaningful employment or self-employment, contributing to sustainable economic empowerment and social development in underserved communities.

The target group for this project consists of 200 vulnerable youth aged 14–28 in Uganda. This includes 20 street children, 30 orphans, 10 youth with disabilities, 5 hearing-impaired young people, and 135 other disadvantaged youth from low-income households or rural areas with limited access to vocational training. The project will provide them with practical skills, mentorship, and support to enhance their employability and self-reliance.
