Project Implementation by Neftaly – 18 June 2016
On 18 June 2016, Neftaly successfully implemented a youth-focused development initiative, reaching 3010 young people in partnership with the CATHSETA (Culture, Arts, Travel, Tourism, Hospitality Sector Education and Training Authority). This strategic collaboration aimed to empower youth with skills, knowledge, and exposure to opportunities in the culture, arts, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
The program was designed to:
- Develop practical skills in line with industry standards, preparing youth for employment or entrepreneurship within the sector.
- Provide career guidance and mentorship, enabling participants to understand various pathways in culture, arts, travel, tourism, and hospitality.
- Foster personal growth and professional development, enhancing confidence, leadership, and teamwork among participants.
- Raise awareness of sector-specific opportunities through interactive workshops, discussions, and practical demonstrations.
This initiative reinforced Neftaly’s commitment to youth empowerment, leveraging partnerships with sector-focused authorities like CATHSETA to bridge the gap between education, skills development, and employment. By equipping 3010 young people with essential tools and insights, the project contributed to building a skilled, motivated, and industry-ready youth workforce.
The success of this implementation highlights the impact of strategic collaborations in creating meaningful opportunities for South Africa’s youth and fostering growth in the culture, arts, travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.
