Overview:
On 28 May 2016, Neftaly successfully implemented a youth empowerment project aimed at equipping 3010 young South Africans with practical skills, career guidance, and industry insights within the Culture, Arts, Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality sectors. This initiative was executed in strategic partnership with CATHSSETA, reinforcing the commitment to bridging the gap between education, skills development, and employment opportunities for the youth.
Objectives:
- To provide youth with exposure to career opportunities within the Culture, Arts, Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality sectors.
- To enhance employability through skills development and mentorship programs.
- To inspire and motivate youth to pursue sustainable career pathways aligned with industry demands.
Key Activities:
- Skills Workshops: Interactive sessions covering essential skills in customer service, travel and tourism management, hospitality, and arts and culture entrepreneurship.
- Career Guidance: Informative sessions led by industry experts, offering advice on career pathways, further education, and professional growth opportunities.
- Mentorship & Networking: Opportunities for youth to connect with professionals in their fields of interest, fostering guidance and potential employment prospects.
- Awareness & Motivation: Inspirational talks emphasizing the importance of continuous learning, personal development, and sector-specific growth opportunities.
Impact:
- 3010 youth reached and actively engaged in the program.
