Neftaly Empowering Youth with Technical Skills
On 13 May 2015, Neftaly successfully delivered Technical Skills training to 12,489 young people across South Africa. This landmark initiative was made possible through a powerful partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) and Comic Relief, combining resources and expertise to create real opportunities for the next generation.
The programme focused on equipping young people with essential technical and vocational skills, empowering them to become employable, entrepreneurial, and self-reliant in an evolving economy. Participants were trained in areas such as:
- Digital and computer literacy
- Technical trades and practical problem-solving
- Workplace readiness and career development
- Innovation and entrepreneurship
By investing in technical skills, the project addressed the pressing challenge of youth unemployment while promoting long-term social and economic inclusion.
The initiative reflects Neftaly’s commitment to sustainable development and its vision of building strong partnerships that open doors for young people. Together with NMCF and Comic Relief, Neftaly contributed to creating pathways of hope and opportunity, ensuring that thousands of youth could access the tools they need to thrive.
