Neftaly Technical Skills Training – 12 April 2015
On 12 April 2015, Neftaly successfully delivered a comprehensive Technical Skills training to 12,489 youth in a landmark initiative aimed at equipping young people with practical, market-relevant skills. This program was conducted in partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) and Comic Relief, reflecting a shared commitment to youth development and empowerment.
The training focused on providing participants with hands-on experience in a variety of technical competencies, including digital literacy, coding, basic IT support, and vocational technology skills. The initiative sought to enhance employability, foster innovation, and enable the youth to actively participate in South Africa’s growing knowledge and technology economy.
Through this initiative, Neftaly, alongside NMCF and Comic Relief, has continued to demonstrate its dedication to bridging the skills gap for young people, ensuring they are equipped not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical abilities that can be immediately applied in the workplace.
The overwhelming participation and enthusiasm from the youth underscored the critical need for accessible technical training, and set the stage for ongoing collaboration between organizations committed to youth empowerment and socio-economic development.
