Neftaly Technical Skills Programme
Delivered on 12 May 2015
On 12 May 2015, Neftaly successfully delivered Technical Skills training to 12,489 youth across South Africa. This milestone programme was made possible through a strong partnership with the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) and Comic Relief, two organisations that share our commitment to empowering young people and building sustainable futures.
The initiative was designed to address the urgent need for practical, market-relevant skills among youth, equipping them with competencies that open doors to employment, entrepreneurship, and long-term career growth. Training sessions focused on a wide range of technical areas, tailored to industry demand and aligned with the national skills development agenda.
Through this programme, Neftaly and its partners provided:
- Hands-on technical training in critical fields needed by the economy.
- Capacity-building opportunities that promote self-reliance and innovation.
- Pathways to employability, enabling young people to transition into the labour market or start their own enterprises.
This large-scale effort reflected the shared vision of Neftaly, NMCF, and Comic Relief — to empower youth as active agents of change in their communities. By reaching 12,489 young people in a single initiative, the programme made a lasting impact not only on individuals, but also on families and society at large.
